No passado dia 14 de maio faleceu o empres\u00e1rio Abel Cabral. Conhecido por muitos pela sua experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea da restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, nasceu em 1961. Era natural da vila de \u00c1gua de Pau, deixou o curso de mec\u00e2nica que frequentava na Escola Industrial e Comercial de Ponta Delgada e foi trabalhar como mandarete para o Hotel Avenida, em 1979. Depois, investiu no restaurante Bar do Monte, no Pico da Pedra. Foi tamb\u00e9m convidado a abrir o Hotel Bahia Palace, em \u00c1gua D\u2019Alto e o Hotel Monte Palace nas Sete Cidades, como chefe de bar. Abriu o antigo Caf\u00e9 Benfica. Entre 2000 a 2014, geriu o bar do Complexo Municipal das Piscinas da Lagoa. Em 2001, surgiu-lhe a oportunidade de gerir o Bar Caloura. Alguns anos depois, abre o restaurante Casa do Abel, na terra que o viu nascer. Em mar\u00e7o de 2023, Abel Cabral abriu um novo empreendimento, a cervejaria-marisqueira \u201cBocAberta\u201d, no Largo do Porto dos Carneiros, Lagoa.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
